CURRICULUM

At Faith Community Lutheran Preschool, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually — all within a loving, Christ-centered environment.

We use a developmentally appropriate, play-based approach that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Children engage in hands-on learning through structured activities and free exploration, building the foundational skills they need for kindergarten and beyond.

Our curriculum includes:

  • Literacy & Language Development – storytelling, phonics, vocabulary, and early writing

  • Math Readiness – patterns, counting, shapes, and number recognition

  • Science & Discovery – exploring God’s creation through sensory activities and observation

  • Social & Emotional Learning – building friendships, sharing, self-regulation, and character development

  • Faith Formation – daily prayers, Bible stories, chapel time, and learning about God’s love

  • Fine & Gross Motor Skills – music, movement, art, and outdoor play

Through engaging lessons, caring teachers, and a safe, joyful environment, we aim to lay a strong foundation that prepares children for school — and life — rooted in faith and love.

ACCReDIDATION

National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) is a process of self-evaluation followed by a visit of objective observers designed to help Lutheran schools improve the quality of their programs.

NLSA is a rigorous national accrediting process designed to evaluate schools based on their unique purpose as Lutheran schools. It helps schools evaluate not only the quality of the academics and programs, but also most importantly the spiritual dimension of the school.
